OFFALY darts star Ronan McDonagh has added to his impressive array of achievements by winning the ADC Isle of Ireland Vault today.

McDonagh came through a packed field of top class players to claim the win, beating Leitrim's Ray Mulvey in the final.

Both McDonagh and Mulvey had been in excellent form throughout the day, taking down some tough opponents and racking up some big averages.

Mulvey's run to the final saw him average just over 90 in a 5-1 win over emerging Waterford talent, Jack Caulfield, in the last 16, before repeating the same scoreline in his quarter final with Kian Fuller.

In his last four clash, Mulvey showed his class by beating Dublin's Sean McKeon 5-1.

On his side of the draw, McDonagh averaged 91.29 on his way to beating Killian McCormack in his last 16 clash.

He was flawless in his quarter final with Tommy McGrath, averaging just over 89 in  a 5-0 win, before a 90.68 average in his semi-final gained him a 5-1 win over Niall Culleton.

The standard in the final was even better, with no leg going over 16 darts as McDonagh averaged a superb 98.55 in beating Mulvey 6-1.

Mulvey did little wrong in the game, averaging over 91 himself, but was met with a masterclass from McDonagh who just didn't miss during the decider.

It's the latest big ADC Ireland win for McDonagh, having previously won two regional qualifiers for the Modus Super Series.
