LEITRIM darts star Ray Mulvey has secured his second appearance on the Modus Super Series after coming through the ADC Ireland qualifier today.
Mulvey was in superb form at the Phoenix in Tullamore as he overcame a top class field to claim a spot in Series 14 in Portsmouth.
He gave an early indication of what form he was in when he averaged 91.09 in his opening game to claim a whitewash 6-0 win over Michael Kelly.
Mulvey never really looked back from there as he next put Meath's Neilie Brouder to the swords with a 6-2 win and a 89.81 average.
That put him through to a semi-final with Dublin's Killian McCormack, with Mulvey again coming out on top with a 6-3 win.
In a tight final against Alan Richards of Dublin, Mulvey had to show his battling qualities to prevail.
With the first seven legs of the final all going with throw, Mulvey found himself 4-3 down before he kicked into gear to rattle off the next three legs and claim the coveted Modus Super Series spot.
It will be his second time to appear at the tournament having previously qualified for Series 7 in 2024.
