THERE'S always more than one way to skin a cat, and it's the cats of Kilkenny who will hoping to prove that once again at the Inter Counties in Killarney this weekend.
Kilkenny darts legend Benny Grace reckons it's the county's ladies team who could really mount a challenge for Inter Counties glory this year.
And he's also not discounting the men's team, of which he is a part of, from going far into the championships also.
Benny told Darts In Ireland: "We've been going through a bit of a transition with the men's team over the past couple of years, but we still have a strong base with players like Keith Geragthy and Trevor Valley pushing us on.
"We got out of our group last year and then got beaten by Dublin in the last 16, so we will at least look to qualify again for the knockout stages and take it from there.
"I don't think we are going to win the championships but we are certainly a match for most teams on our day.
"Where I do see success is with our Kilkenny ladies team, though. They are very strong and will be looking for a good result."
Benny is also confident that Kilkenny are going in the right direction with their youths set up.
He added: "We have some great youth players coming through. We have big hopes for the likes of Shane Hogan, while my grand-daughter Ruby Grace is going very well in the Girls events.
"So that certainly gives us hope for the future."
And he said the fact that former Kilkenny player Niall Culleton has recently won his PDC tour card will also give inspiration to other players in the county.
Benny added: "Niall is well known for playing in many local tournaments around Kilkenny and he is one of a few local players we have had playing for Ireland over the years.
"So it's great for our younger players in Kilkenny to see somebody they know well doing so well in the game."
