TOP Irish ladies darts star Katie Sheldon has continued her good recent form with a run to the final of the PDC Women's Series 7.
Sheldon, who was crowned the INDO Ladies Inter Counties champion last week, has carried that momentum into this weekend and has even seen her take down the imperious Beau Greaves in Series 5.
However she found the challenge of Greaves in the Series 7 final today as a tougher one to crack as the best ladies darts player in the world added yet another Women's Series title to her ever-growing list of achievements.
However making it into the final was a superb achievement for Katie, too, as she took down some big players with some big performances.
That included an impressive 4-1 win over Women's Series 5 winner Kirsi Viinikainen in the last 16, before Sheldon also accounted for Rose Mort of Wales in the last eight.
That set up a semi-final clash with Scotland's Lorraine Hyde, which Sheldon won 5-0 with an imperious performance against the reigning WDF Irish Open champion,

She unfortunately on the wrong side of the same scoreline against Greaves in the final, but will have picked some crucial ranking money nonetheless.
It's also proving to be a decent weekend for Sheldon's fellow Dubliner Robyn Byrne as she made it to the last 16 of Women's Series 7, before also falling to Greaves, having made it to the quarter finals of Series 5.
It means Byrne will have very much consolidated in the top eight of the PDC Women's Series Order of Merit that will see her gain a spot at the World Matchplay in Blackpool later this year.
