LIMERICK'S Michael Flynn has maintained his good start to this year's PDC Challenge Tour campaign as he picked up some more crucial ranking money by making it to the last 32 in Event 6.
Flynn, who is currently ranked 11th on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit that has seen him gain invites onto the PDC Players Championship, picked up three big wins today before losing out in a last leg decider to England's Ryan O'Connor in the last 32.
He began his day with a whitewash win over Igor Perak of Croatia, before securing a 5-3 win over Welshman Sean Fisher.
Flynn then averaged just over 90 as he rattled off five legs on the spin to beat Poland's Krzysztof Kciuk.
The run means Flynn will add to his Order of Merit money total, which is important if he wants to maintain his place near the top and get invited to the PDC Players Championship.
Flynn, who made world headlines when defeating Michael van Gerwen at PC3, has already secured a call up for Players Championships 7 and 8 next week.
Meanwhile, Mayo's Ultan McDyer, who recently impressed on the Modus Super Series, also had a run to the last 32.
McDyer picked up wins over England's Frankie Ansell and Bailey White, before losing out to Tom Sykes.
