IRISH darts sensation Rebecca Allen has cemented her place as one of the world's top youth players with a brilliant weekend at the JDC Girls series.

The Carlow star was a winner of Event 3 on Saturday as she beat reigning WDF Girls world champion Paige Pauling in the final.

Allen continued her winning run today as she made it through her group unbeaten in Event 4, before winning through to another final against Pauling, with the English teenager coming out on top this time.

The pair are now the top two in the JDC Girls Series Order Of Merit, and if they stay there over the upcoming months it will see them play out an ultimate challenge match on stage in Blackpool on July 27 at the PDC's World Matchplay Event.

Pauling's victory today means she has now leapfrogged Allen into the top spot in the rankings table with 15 points, but Rebecca is well placed on 13, which is five points clear of Yazmine Ruck-Havard of Wales.

On Saturday, Rebecca recorded a clean sweep in Event 3, as she won all her Group A games, dropping just two legs in the process.

She continued that good form in the knockout stages with whitewash wins over England's Maya Day and Taylor Field to set up a semi-final clash with Yazmine Ruck-Havard.

Rebecca managed to edge that 3-2, before keeping her nerve in the final to beat Pauling 4-3 with an impressive 77.37 average.

The pair maintained that standard during Event 4 today, so it was no surprise to see the two face off in the final again.

However it was Pauling who gained the bragging rights this time as she secured a 4-1 win with a 75.09 average.

Speaking about their growing rivalry, Rebecca heaped praise on Paige.

She said: "Paige certainly makes me throw better anyway. Hopefully it remain us two at the top battling it out."
