JOSH Rock stormed through the field to win the PDC Players Championship 10 today, but vowed: "I still have more to prove".
The Antrim man hit up to 30 maximums to rack up seven impressive wins on the spin to collect the fifth PDC title of his career to date.
He overcame Scotland's Cameron Menzies 8-4 in the final to claim the championship, after beating his good pal Scott Williams 7-5 in the semi-final.
Speaking afterwards, Rock said: "It was probably my scoring right throughout the day. I felt like I had important checkouts at the right times. When it comes to three darts for a checkout, I've been hitting the ton-plus checkouts, thankfully.
"It feels absolutely fantastic. I'm racking them up PDC titles. It's my fifth on the PDC Tour, but I still want to prove it at the majors."
Fermanagh man Brendan Dolan, who made it to the last four of PDC Players Championship 9 yesterday, had to settle for a last 32 spot today after inexplicably losing a 5-0 lead to go down 6-5 to another Northern Irishman, Kevin Burness, before he lost out to Raymond van Barneveld in the next round.
Earlier, Tipperary's Dylan Slevin began his day with a brilliant 6-4 victory of PC9 winner, Gerwyn Price, before losing out in a last leg decider to England's Cam Crabtree in his next match.
Limerick's Willie O'Connor took out yesterday's other finalist, Ian White, in his first match and then added a win over Rob Cross before losing out in his board final to Justin Hood.
Carlow's Steve Lennon also lost in his board final to Ricardo Pietreczko, having earlier recorded wins over Sebastian Bialecki and Joe Cullen, in a match in which he averaged an impressive 102.15
