IT was a great day for the Irish at the Modus Super Series as both Ciaran Teehan and Ronan McDonagh qualified for finals night following a nerve wracking day of Group C action.
With just two qualifying spots up for grabs in the six-man group it was the two Irish players who eventually came through during a nail-biting end to the day.
It was Teehan who took the honours as Group C winner as he yet again won three of his five games to come out on top on 12 points.
It was anyone's guess who would join him as just two points separated the next four in the group, but with Darren Johnson losing his final game, McDonagh squeezed through on leg difference from Ivan Springborg Poulsen.
It was just rewards for the Offaly man who has played some excellent darts all week at Modus, having started off slowly in Group A.

With McDonagh beginning the day as group leader, he looked to be very much on course to stay there after winning two of his first three games, including a 4-2 victory over his fellow Irishman Teehan.
However when he lost his final two matches to Springborg Poulsen and Johnson, he was left relying on other results to get him over the line.
Teehan then took advantage at a crucial stage by winning two of his final three matches, including a crucial 4-2 win over Peter Wachiuri to leapfrog up to the top of the group.
The fate of the group then came down to the very last match of the day, when a victory for Darren Johnson could have seen him top the group and edge McDonagh into third place and out of finals night.
However it was Springborg Poulsen who came out on top 4-3 in that game, sending both Teehan and McDonagh through as the top two in the group.
