New App from Irish players could be real Dart Saver

TWO top Irish tungsten throwers believe they can revolutionise the world of buying and selling darts equipment with a new app they are launching this weekend.

Republic of Ireland international, Lewis Ireland, and rising star Daniele Di Tofano have teamed up to launch DartSaver - the first proper marketplace for new and used darts gear.

DartSaver will allow anyone, from a professional darts player right down to a newbie, the chance to buy and sell their darts products to anywhere in the world.

Daniele, who has become a well known face on the Irish darts scene through his Dynamyte Darts TikTok page and 'path to pro' YouTube videos, told Darts In Ireland they are aiming to fill a much needed gap in the market.

He said: "It's the sort of thing we were surprised wasn't already available to all the darts players looking to buy and sell equipment right across the world.

"Up until now people have been mainly using Facebook groups to source or sell equipment, which is great, but it can leave you open to scams with little or no comeback.

"With DartSaver, everything will be done through a secure payment system with Stripe, which makes it a better experience for everybody."

Daniele said he also hopes it will help some small Irish darts retailers branch out to a global audience of buyers.

He added: "There are a number of good darts stockists in Ireland but they don't really seem to go beyond their local customer base.

"So we are hoping that this will give them the chance to advertise what they have to offer to darts players all over the world.

"It's open to professional players, too, as many of them do have a range of gear that they went to sell and they can do that through DartSaver."

He said it was a good time to launch the business with darts really taking off in Ireland over the past few years and growing all the time.

His own game has improved dramatically, too, with Daniele now regularly making it to the latter stages of big INDO and ADC events here in Ireland, while Lewis was part of the Republic of Ireland team that won the Island Nations Cup in January.

Daniele said: "Myself and Lewis are fairly well connected in the game now, both here and in the UK, so that should stand to us too.

"DartSaver is a simple enough idea, but is offering something to people that wasn't there before and we think it will prove to be very popular for that reason."
