CORK darts star John O'Shea has consolidated his place on top of the Winmau Challenge Tour after a double day of success for him on Sunday at the ADC Ireland events.
The Joker got down to some serious business at the Talbot Hotel in Dublin as he came through a top class field to win Event 3 of the Winmau Challenge Tour.
Already sitting first in the tour table, O'Shea set about staying there as he began his day with an impressive whitewash win over Republic of Ireland captain Stephen Rosney.
He then came through a tough battle with Tipperary's Aidan O'Hara, who was sitting just behind him in the table going into the weekend, as O'Shea averaged just over 86 to record a 5-3 win.
That set up a quarter final clash with Richard O'Hanlon, which O'Shea again won without dropping a leg to set up an all Cork semi-final with Ciaran Teehan.
This battle of the former PDC Tour Card holders went the way of O'Shea as he averaged just over 88 to win 5-2.
He saved his best performance for the final as O'Shea averaged 93.91 to edge out Limerick's Michael Flynn by winning the final three legs on the spin to record another event win.

The Joker wasn't finished there as he then went on to claim the ADC Ireland Open singles later on Sunday evening.
He topped Group 3 in that with four wins out of four and then maintained his form throughout the knockout stages to end the whole day unbeaten.
O'Shea beat rising Wicklow star Blake Carter - a winner on the INDO Players Championship a week previously - in his last 16 clash and then averaged 89.28 to defeat PDC Tour Card holder, Dylan Slevin, in the last eight.
He then overcame Tipperary's Gerry O'Hara 4-2 in the semi-final before holding his nerve to defeat Aaron Blaides 5-1 in the final to complete the perfect day for him.
