REPUBLIC Of Ireland international Denise Cassidy showed her class today as she won three games on the spin to win her board at PDC Women's Series 17.
The Donegal thrower was the best of the Irish as she made it as far as the last 16, with some impressive performances along the way.
Cassidy, who will be on the Irish ladies team for next month's WDF World Cup, began her day with a tight 4-3 win over Rebecca Rose, as she kept her nerve to win the deciding last leg having been pegged by after storming into a 3-0 lead.
She had a little bit more breathing space in her next match, as Cassidy overcame Kyana Frauenfelder of the Netherlands 4-2, finishing off that match with a brilliant 15-dart leg.
Cassidy's best match of the day came in her board decider as she beat Britain's Hollie McKain 4-0, posting an impressive 77.08 average while doing so.

That set up a last 16 clash with England's Anegla Kirkwood which went all the way to a deciding leg.
However Cassidy came out on the wrong side of it this time as Kirkwood advanced to the quarter finals with a 4-3 win.
Elsewhere, 16-year-old Carlow sensation, Rebecca Allen, made her PDC Women's Series debut, but lost out in her opening match to Hollie McCain, as did Robyn Byrne, who fell to defeat to Angela Kirkwood in her last 64 clash.
Kilkenny's Aoife McCormack also went out early after she was defeated by veteran four-time world champion, Lisa Ashton, who averaged a superb 91.09 in the game.
