IT was a top weekend for Wicklow darts stars, Glenn Fitzpatrick and Blake Carter, as they claimed a trophy each at a high class competition in Tinahely.
PDC star Dylan Slevin was the big name in the hat for the event at Murphy's Hotel in Tinahely, but he had to settle for the runners-up prize after being beaten by Glenn in a nail-biting final.
Bray man Glenn held his nerve after his final against Slevin went all the way to a last leg decider as he came out the 6-5 winner in what was described as a "game for the ages".
Meanwhile, young Wicklow teenager Blake Cater has continued his progression in the game with another impressive accolade.
Blake, a finalist in the INDO Players Championships Division C last month, recovered from an early exit in the main event to make it to the final of the shield competition.
He came out on tops in that by defeating Billy Gilbert to pick up the trophy.
