CARLOW darts star Steve Lennon has given himself every chance of qualifying for finals night at the Modus Super Series on his debut in the competition.
Lennon is one of three players in Group B tied on four points, behind group leader Carl Wilson, with the top three advancing to finals night following another round of action tonight.
One of those is Cork-based Polish player, Radek Szaganski, who currently sits second in the group on leg difference.
Both will need at least two wins tonight to stand any chance of progressing to finals night on Saturday.
Lennon got his Group B campaign off to the prefect start with a tight 4-3 win over Paul Hogan, and rounded off his night with an important 4-1 win over Johnny Haines which keeps him in touch with the top end of the table.
Meanwhile, Szaganski is looking good in second place in the table.
After losing his opening game to group leader, Wilson, Szaganski also picked up an impressive 4-1 win over Johnny Haines.
He then put in a brilliant performance against Lennon, averaging 93.96, as she secured a 4-1 in in that game to leave him tied at the top of the table.
Szaganski was only denied being Group B leader overnight when he lost out in a last leg decider to Paul Hogan in a superb game that saw Hogan average just shy of 100.
