DONEGAL captain Cartha Boyle says the county's third INDO Inter Counties win in a row is the best one yet as they really had to battle hard for it this year.
The record breaking Ulster men continue to break new ground as they have now won a staggering 15 Inter Counties titles in total, with this year's success coming after wins over the past two years also.
Cartha has praised the will, talent and hard work of his Donegal team-mates to continue on this incredible winning journey.
After topping their group with ease last Saturday, Donegal then had to withstand their perennial early scare in the last 16 when they fell 3-1 behind to Westmeath.
Having recovered to win that game 7-3, Donegal then found themselves on stage to take on last year's beaten finalists Cork.
For a while during that game it looked as though Donegal's winning run might come to an end as they trailed 6-4 going into the latter stages of that match.
However Donegal are not champions for no reason, as they managed to pull that game out of the bag by winning the final three games through Alan Byrne, John Gallagher and Jason Patterson.
They never really looked back after that as they went on to defeat Carlow 7-2 in the semi-finals and then Offaly 7-4 in the final.
Speaking afterwards, team captain Cartha admitted it had been a tough weekend for his men.
He said: "This year has taken it out of us a lot more.
"I think for that reason this win is the best one yet.
"It was such a tough game against Cork in that quarter final and to come through it the way we did was special.
"It's great to see Carlow back as a real force too and Offaly gave us a tough game in the final as they are a really good team."
