DUBLIN darts sensation Sean McKeon says winning the INDO Players Championship Division A has given him the confidence to know he can achieve anything in the game.
Sean became the Division A champion with an impressive 6-0 win over Ireland international Paddy Quinn in the final at the Athlone Springs Hotel last weekend.
That came after he had also defeated the Division A leader Damien Grimes in his semi-final.
Sean told Darts In Ireland: "I'm delighted to have won the A Division, given the standard of players who competed in it as you're talking about some of the top players in the country who are regular competitors on the PDC Challenge Tour and at Q School.
"It's given me a huge confidence booster going into the rest of the year."
Sean said the manner of his victory over Paddy Quinn in the final was surprising, but gave him huge satisfaction.
He added: "Paddy is an absolutely fantastic player so to beat him 6-0 in a final is very special. I'll probably never do that again."
Sean's latest victory comes after he also secured success at the Leinster Championship singles and Meath Open this year.
However the honest star admitted it hasn't be all plain sailing since he made the jump from the youth ranks into the senior men's tournaments over recent years.
He said: "When I came out of the youths, I went through a bad patch but I overcame that just by practising hard and going to all the tournaments
"I came into this year with a different mindset and I won the Leinster singles, the Meath Open and now this. It's a big accomplishment for me."
And he said he now hopes to push on in the new ranking season and try to make it onto an Ireland international team.
Sean said: "My goal for the new season will be to get into the higher end of the INDO rankings. With the elite players who play at these events, it's very tough, trust me, but I know I have the game to go further.
"Who knows? I might be on the Irish team this time next year."
