Brian has world at his feet after Division B Players Championship win

WHEN Limerick darts star Brian Todd first entered the INDO's new Players Championship he didn't even know there was a place up for grabs in the WDF World Masters in 2026.

However having now topped a highly competitive Division B after five hard-fought events, Brian is now dreaming of a run at the World Masters in Hungary next year.

"Ah I'll probably go win the World Masters now," Brian told Darts in Ireland.

While he might have been speaking in jest, the fact he can even dream of such an accomplishment shows what a great addition the Players Championship has been to the INDO calendar.

To win that coveted World Masters spot, Brian must now come through a finals night, and he has the confidence to do so going in as the Division B winner.

He has also earned himself a year's sponsorship from Flight Club for topping the division.

He said: "I'm delighted to have come out on top of the division as it was a tough competition. Everyone in that division was good so I was surprised to top it to be honest.

"I won the first week. I had a good night on the first night and honestly I thought it would go downhill from there but it didn't thank God.

"It's given me massive confidence, especially playing in the other INDO ranking events. I'm now starting to make it to the last 32 of those and getting good runs so my game is coming on."

He said the Players Championship has been a brilliant addition.

Brian added: "The Players Championship has been a great idea. I do agree with a couple of lads that if you play county darts for your A team you probably should be in Division A .

"But Division B has given lads a great chance to get good runs and it's been great for the younger lads."
