THE manager of Dublin's B team has hailed the strength in depth of darts in the capital after they claimed back-to-back INDO Inter Counties B titles in Killarney.
Tom Mahon said the latest win was special as they only have three of the players from the team that also won the competition in Trim 12 months ago.
Tom described the feeling of retaining the championship as "unbelievable", as Dublin came from 5-2 down to win 7-6 against a strong Limerick team.
He told Darts In Ireland: "You can't believe how great it feels to do this again.
"We won it last year, we were brilliant, but we've only three players left from that team."
However Tom admitted it wasn't all plain sailing as Dublin finished runner-up to Waterford in Group 1 on Saturday, meaning they ended in the tougher side of the draw on Sunday.
That pitted them against a highly fancied Donegal side - who Dublin beat in the final last year - in the quarter finals, and Dublin came through that one 7-6.
That put them into a semi-final against another strong team in Galway, with Dublin again prevailing 7-4.
Tom said: "In the group games, I won't lie, I think we struggled a little bit and missed a lot of doubles.
"But in the knockout games, everybody stepped it up and we dragged ourselves through.
"We ended up in the tough end of the draw, having to play Wexford, Donegal and Galway to get to the final, and we dug it out.
"I couldn't be more prouder of the players."

Tom said the team spirit in the Dublin camp played a key role in the victory.
"We had a lot of banter on the way down here last Friday and the lads were in great spirits all weekend," he said.
"We have a big squad but even the lads that didn't play supported everyone who did and that was great to see."
He added that the big turnover in players from last year's team was testament to the great work going on with darts in Dublin.
Tom said: "We have a big selection in Dublin, we have a great set up and we are building all the time.
"I think up to five of the lads we had in the B team last year stepped up to the A team this year.
"So there's a lot of lads here with us this year who had never played at this level before and they stepped up to the line and did us all proud."
Meanwhile, Tom said it was extra special that the Dublin Ladies B team also won their championship.
He added: "The Dublin Ladies teams have won the As and the Bs this year, so the Dublin ladies are dominating darts right now.
"The turnout at their trials have grown and they have improved and that has shown over the weekend."
