IRISH teenager Rebecca Allen has maintained her spot at the top of the JDC Girls Series ranking table following her run to the final of Event 8 today.
The Carlow star remains two points ahead of England's Paige Pauling in the Girls Series table, despite losing to her in the final earlier today.
It means the 16-year-old has confirmed her spot for the ultimate challenge match in Blackpool on July 27th at the PDC's World Matchplay, when Pauling will be her opponent then too.
Allen began her day today by topping Group D by winning all four of her group games, dropping just one leg in the process.
She continued her good form in the knockout stages, defeating English pair Mia Stansfield and Natalie Baxter to make it to the semi-finals, again just losing one leg along the way.
She had to come from behind in her semi-final against another English opponent, Lucy Shepherd, to win 3-1 and set up her final clash with Pauling.
The opening four legs of that final were shared before Pauling won the final two legs in just 35 darts to wrap up a 4-2 win.
However Allen will be more than happy to have added to her ranking points total by making it to the final.

It was a good day, too, for Cork's Brooke Warren as she made it as far as the last eight.
Brooke qualified out of Group B with three wins out of four and then defeated England's Lily Wheeler 3-0 in the last 16.
Her run came to an end in the quarter finals, however, when she was defeated 3-1 by Lola Wheeler.
Brooke now lies in the top 12 in the JDC Girls Series ranking table out of 25 players.
