WILLIE O'Connor enjoyed his best run yet on the PDC Euro Tour in 2025 by making it to the last eight of the Dutch Darts Championships in Rossmalen.

The Magpie was a late call up for Gerwyn Price and made the most of his opportunity by making it through to the latter stages of the tournament.

He began with an impressive 6-3 win over Boris Krcmar on Saturday evening to ensure he would be back on stage today in the final 16.

O'Connor produced another assured performance to defeat reigning European champion Ritchie Edhouse 6-4 to set up a quarter final clash this evening with world number one Luke Humphries.

Unfortunately, Willie was no match for a brilliant Humphries, who defeated him 6-3 with an outstanding 108.72 average.

Elsewhere, Tyrone's Mickey Mansell fell at the last 16 stage to Ryan Searle, while Derry's Daryl Gurney exited at the same stage after losing a last leg decider to Ricardo Pietreczko.

It was Welshman Jonny Clayton who went on to win the tournament with victory over Niko Springer in the final.
