Joker in the pack for Modus finals night

John O'Shea has kept his good recent form up by qualifying for the Modus Super Series finals night tonight with some class darts at the Live Lounge in Portsmouth.

The Joker went into the final round of Group B matches in second place and maintained that spot by winning three of his four games.

The Corkman showed he was in no mood for messing about by whitewashing group leader Graham Hall for an impressive opening 4-0 win.

He followed that up with a 4-1 win over Jamie Owens that included two class big finishes of 157 and 146.

The win over Owens had more or less assured O'Shea of his place in finals night, but the Joker made that an absolute certainty by winning his next match 4-3 over Jamie Lewis to move onto 10 points in the group.

In his final match of the night, O'Shea lost out in a last leg decider to Alec Small, who finished level on points with him in the group to take the third qualifying spot.

The pair will be back in action tonight, alongside group winner Hall, as they compete for the weekly £5,000 prize and a spot in the Series 11 Champions Week.
