SHANE McGuirk has a chance to qualify for finals night at the Modus Super Series Champions Week as he faces up to another round of Group C action today.
The Arrow sits just two points off the top two qualifying spots after he picked up three impressive wins yesterday to remain on contention.
The reigning WDF World Champion needs to overtake either Jimmy van Schie or Andy Hamilton to be sure of his spot in finals night on Saturday.
McGuirk's only two losses came to both of those players yesterday and he will likely have to beat at least, if not both, of them today if he is to progress.
Victory over Richard McKee, who he beat 4-0 yesterday, in Group C's opening game today will jump McGuirk into one of the qualifying spots, where he will hope to remain for the rest of the day.
Meanwhile, Cork's John O'Shea faces a tougher battle to make it out of Group B after he finished his opening night in that winless.#
The Joker admitted he struggled with the heat and humidity at the Live Lounge in Portsmouth as he lost to Derek Coulson, Jeff Smith, Adam Gawlas and Jurjen Van Der Velde.
It leaves him bottom of the group and four points off a qualifying spot.
It means O'Shea will need at least three wins in Group B and some other results to go in his favour to advance.
