TEENAGE darts sensation Jamie Farrell says he hopes his win at the INDO Boys Matchplay in Ballina will be the first of many for him.
The Cork star came through a tough field of players at the Great National Hotel last Saturday to win his first ever INDO ranking event.
Jamie told Darts In Ireland he was absolutely thrilled to win such a big tournament, and will be aiming for more in the future.
His win came after he topped a difficult Group K by winning all his games with the loss of just one leg.
Jamie was equally impressive in the knockout stages, losing just one leg on his way to the semi-finals with victories over Ronan Rogers, Fiachra O'Reilly and Republic of Ireland Boys captain Jack Courtney.
That set him up for a semi-final with Shane Hogan, which Jamie edged 3-2 in a top class contest that saw both players averaging well into the mid to high 70s.
His final was equally tight, with Jamie having to hold his nerve to defeat Tyler O'Connor - a winner in the INDO Players Championships Division C on Friday night - in a last leg decider.
Speaking to Darts In Ireland just moments after his big win, Jamie said: "I came through a very tough draw against some of the top players in Ireland and I beat them so I'm very happy."

Jamie said he hopes the win will now give him the confidence to progress further into the latter stages of each ranking event.
He added: "I normally go through the groups and into the last 16 and all that but I like to try push myself on at every single event and it paid off today."
Jamie, who also made it to the quarter finals of the Irish Boys Masters on Sunday, picked up a lot of crucial INDO ranking points which could see him in the frame for future Republic of Ireland boys teams.
He said he would use that as a goal for the rest of the ranking season.
Jamie said: "It kind of puts pressure on me as I'll have to go to the rest of the ranking events and try to pick up points.
"But I normally play better under pressure anyway. When I play county events for Cork, I'm usually in fifth so I'm used to being in those pressure final games."
