WILLIE O'Connor lost out in a last leg decider in the semi-finals for the second PDC Players Championship in a row.
The Magpie was yet again defeated by the eventual winner as he suffered an agonising 7-6 loss to Gerwyn Price in PC 26.
It comes just weeks after he also lost in the very last leg of his last four clash with Stephen Bunting in PC 25, with Bunting also going on to win it outright.
Limerick man O'Connor looked to be well on his way to the final when he stormed into 5-2 lead over Price and also lead 6-4 coming into the closing stages of the match.
However the Iceman showed impressive nerve to win the last three legs and advance to the final, where he beat Gian Van Veen.
It was still another great run for O'Connor, though, who has been in impressive form in the PDC Players Championship this year.
His run to the semi-finals saw O'Connor pick up wins over Rob Owen, Thibault Tricole, Darius Labanauskas, and Damon Heta.
That set up a quarter final clash with Bradley Brooks, a winner on the Players Championship this year, with the Irishman averaging a superb 104.09 average in a 6-3 win.
His hopes of winning PC 26 were then scuppered by Price's dramatic comeback.

Meanwhile, Tyrone's Mickey Mansell also had a good run to the last 16.
Mansell showed good form as he defeated Jermaine Wattimena, Martin Thomas and Kim Huybrechts to win his board.
However he couldn't get past eventual finalist Gian Van Veen in the last 16, with Mansell falling to a 6-1 defeat.
Elsewhere, Meath's Keane Barry also made it to the last 16 as he won his board in impressive fashion.
Barry won his opening game 6-1 over Leon Webber, before also looking good in his 6-2 victory over Niels Zonneveld with a 95.90 averaage.
That put his through to his Board 12 final with Andy Boulton, with Barry holding his nerve to beat experienced Scot in a last leg decider.
His run was only ended in the last 16 by a superb performance from Dutchman, Wessel Niman, who averaged 106.40 in a 6-3 win.
