ROBYN Byrne and Dylan Slevin were back in the winners circle over the weekend as they won the Dublin County Darts Open in Drimnagh on Saturday.
Both Byrne and Slevin were in imperious form as they came through packed fields to claim their titles.
Ireland's World Cup winning ladies captain, Byrne, remained undefeated throughout the competition, topping her group with four wins out of four.
She then marched on to the final by winning three knockout games on the spin without losing a leg, as she defeated Muireann McDermott, Svetlana Zavodchikova and Audrey Byrne to set up a final with her fellow World Cup winner Katie Sheldon.
In a high class game it was Byrne who held the edge as she came out the 4-1 winner, winning the final two legs in just 31 darts to stun Sheldon.
It means Byrne has retained a title she also won last year.
Speaking afterwards, she said: "I'm happy to defend the title and come out on top after a good final with Katie Sheldon."

Meanwhile, PDC tour card holder Slevin was in equally good form in the men's competition, as he won six games on the spin to claim the title.
His win began with a 6-3 win over top Dublin playerAndrew Davenport, before Slevin also recorded wins over Paddy Mann and Ross Ryan.
That set up a quarter final clash with his doubles partner, Alan Richards, with Slevin again coming out on top with a 6-3 win and an 89.92 average.
He wasn't finished there, however, as he posted a 95.94 average to defeat the experienced Garret Gray in his semi-final and then averaging just over 90 to take down Sean McKeon in the final.
There was success also for Andrew Davenport, as he recovered from his opening round defeat to Slevin to go on and win the Shield competition, beating Anto McCracken in the final.
