IT was a weekend to remember for a host of counties who will be aiming to make their mark at the INDO Inter Counties championships next month.

Carlow have been crowned the undisputed kings of Leinster darts after winning the men's, ladies and youths Leinster Championship titles in Wicklow.

In a weekend of unprecedented success, Carlow's teenage superstar Rebecca Allen was also crowned the Leinster ladies singles champion.

Carlow Darts chairman Rickey Nolan hailed it as a 'great boost" for the county ahead of the Inter Counties championship.

He said: "This is such a great achievement that I think everybody will on a high."

It was a good weekend for Dublin at the Leinster Championships, too, as Sean McKeon won the men's singles on Friday night.

Sean was also part of the Dublin men's team that made it all the way to the Leinster Championship final, where they just lost out to a rampant Carlow.

Meanwhile, Dublin's development team also tasted success by winning the Leinster championship youth shield.

Meanwhile, in Limerick, Donegal once again showed why they are a county to be feared as their men's team won the West Coast Challenge title, while their ladies team finished runners-up.

Donegal, who have won the past two men's Inter Counties championships, added another title to their growing roll of honour with a victory in the final  over the hosts Limerick.

In the Ladies event, Mayo came out on top as they defeated Donegal in the final, with the Mayo youth team also winning their event.
