LIMERICK are amongst a select few counties who can dream of INOD Inter Counties success on the double with both their mens and ladies teams seen as strong challengers.
Both teams will be aiming to improve on their showings in Killarney from last year, with Limerick's Christy Costelloe telling Darts In Ireland that now is time to prove it.
Christy said: "We haver the talent in our Limerick teams to do very well and time will tell.
"Our players have put the practice in now and they are ready to give it a good go."
The Limerick men's team were 2025 Munster champions and Christy said competing at that recently is good preparation ahead of the Inter Counties.
He said: "The Munsters certainly gives you a good indication of where you are at as the standard is very strong there now.
"We also held the West Coast Challenge in Limerick this year and we got to the final of that, which was a great run, but were outclassed in the final by a very strong Donegal team."
Christy said the Limerick Ladies team are also in fine fettle ahead of the battle in Killarney.
Limerick had a run to the quarter finals of last year's championships, and Christy reckons they can go even better this year.
He said: "Our ladies have what it takes and with a bit of luck they can get out of their group again and go far in the knockouts.
"We don't have the biggest amount of ladies playing darts in the county but the team we have is strong and they will do us proud."
